Box Manure Spreaders
Pequea box manure spreaders are built for major equestrian facilities and midsize commercial farms that need heavy-duty capacity and lasting durability. Every unit features fully welded unibody steel construction and a high-density tongue-and-groove poly floor. Ranging from 125 to 250-bushel capacity, these American-made spreaders come from a family-owned company that stands behind every piece of equipment we sell.
What Is a Box Manure Spreader, and How Does It Work?
A box manure spreader is a tractor-pulled attachment designed to evenly distribute manure, compost or other organic materials across a field or pasture. Pequea spreaders help turn a labor-intensive chore into a manageable, efficient task by delivering consistent coverage for better soil enrichment and healthier ground.
Once material is loaded into the welded steel box, a power take-off (PTO) apron chain moves the load steadily toward the rear of the unit. Rotating beater paddles then shred and fling the material out the back for consistent coverage across the field. A two-speed gearbox gives you control over the spread rate, whether you need a light touch or heavy coverage.
Pequea Box Manure Spreader Models
Every Pequea box manure spreader features a two-speed PTO gearbox with neutral and cleanout settings and replaceable beater paddles. Each unit can also be customized with fine spread pans, top beaters and hydraulic end gates to better match your operation.
Specific models include:
- 125P: The 125P handles 125 bushels with a minimum 35 HP, making it a natural fit for small to midsize farms.
- 175P: The 175P holds 175 bushels with a minimum 45 HP, providing a solid step up for growing operations.
- 250P: The 250P carries 250 bushels with a minimum 55 HP, with an optional tandem axle for rough terrain and wet field conditions.
Applications
Pequea box manure spreaders handle more than just raw manure, doubling as effective compost spreaders to help put organic material back into your fields and pastures. The fully welded steel construction and poly floor hold up through heavy daily use, delivering excellent coverage load after load. Common uses include:
- Recycling horse stall waste back into pastures
- Spreading composted manure across crop fields
- Distributing bedding materials
- Enriching hay fields and pastures
Choosing the Right Size Manure Spreader for Your Tractor
Selecting the right size box manure spreader for your operation starts with knowing how much material you move daily and how much power your tractor can handle. The 125P is a natural fit for smaller operations using tractors in the 35 HP range. The 175P works well for midsize farms stepping up in volume and horsepower. At 250 bushels and a minimum 55 HP, the 250P is built for larger operations that need increased capacity.
