A farm convention is an opportunity for growth. They are excellent places to discover equipment manufacturers, software and technology providers, crop suppliers and more for your farming business. Whether they're big or small, conventions offer a lot to learn. That's why we've put together this list of the best ag shows of 2023.

World Ag Expo 2023

When: February 14-16, 2023. The hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Thursday.

Where: The International Agri-Center located at 4500 S Laspina St., Tulare, CA 93274.

What: World ag expo brings together more than 1,200 exhibitors from industries like hunting, fishing, forestry, horticulture, gardening, farming and wine. Seminars are also held, providing the perfect place to network, try, learn and buy. It is a walking show, and most of the exhibits are outdoors. PA Farm Show

When: January 7-14, 2023.

Where: 2300 N. Cameron St., Harrisburg, PA 17110.

What: The Pennsylvania Farm Show is the largest indoor agricultural exposition in the country. It showcases Pennsylvania's agriculture industry and the people involved in it. 2023's theme is "rooted in progress," so it will honor Pennsylvania's agricultural roots and highlight the industry's vision for the future. Food is one of the favored elements, so plenty of options are available throughout the complex. All food options managed by the Farm Show are credit card only. Keep an eye on the schedule of events for information on competitive and commercial happenings.

Farm Science Review

When: September 19-21, 2023.

Where: Molly Caren Agricultural Center located at 135 OH-38, London, OH 43140.

What: The Ohio State University's College of Food, Agriculture and Environmental Sciences among other programs will sponsor this event. 2023 will be the 61st Farm Science Review and the 41st at the Molly Caren Agricultural Center. It will feature hundreds of demonstration plots, several million dollars worth of machinery and demonstrations and displays from The Ohio State University colleges and departments. You can also check out field demonstrations, programs on conservation practices and farm and home safety and health information.

Ag Progress Days

When: August 8-10, 2023. The dates are under consideration, so they haven't been confirmed yet. Stay up to date by checking out their website.

Where: The Russell E. Larson Agricultural Research Center. It is located at 2710 W. Pine Grove Rd., Pennsylvania Furnace, PA 16865. This is subject to change since the event is still in the planning stage.

What: Penn State's College of Agricultural Sciences hosts this event. It is the largest outdoor agricultural exposition in Pennsylvania and features educational programs, the latest farm equipment and technology innovations and current research. There are over 400 exhibitors from all over Canada and the United States. The event features free admission and parking.

Farwest Show

When: August 23-25, 2023. The hours are 12 p.m.-5 p.m. on Wednesday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Thursday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Friday.

Where: Oregon Convention Center at 777 NE MLK Jr. Blvd. Portland, OR 97232.

What: The Farwest Show is the largest green industry show in the west. There are over 300 exhibitors in the nursery and retail garden center industry. American Society for Horticultural Science

When: July 31-August 4, 2023.

Where: Caribe Royale Orlando at 8101 World Center Dr., Orlando, FL 32821.

What: This annual conference of the American Society for Horticultural Science (ASHS) showcases the latest technology and science in horticulture. It brings together researchers, industry professionals, scientists, government, students and academics to share techniques and ideas related to plant sciences and horticulture. The conference hosts technical sessions, presentations, interactive workshops and keynote speakers. Enjoy networking and group activities, social events, meet and greets and competitions. Even though it's an in-person-only event, all sessions are recorded and made available after the conference to paid registrants.

Fort Wayne Farm Show

When: January 17-19, 2023. The hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Tuesday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m. on Wednesday and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Thursday.

Where: The Allen County War Memorial Coliseum at 4000 Parnell Ave., Fort Wayne, IN 46805.

What: 2023 will be the 34th year of the Fort Wayne Farm Show. It is the largest indoor agricultural expo in Indiana that features a variety of exhibits and seminars. The seminars provide an opportunity to learn more about the current topics in agriculture, and the exhibits showcase innovations and wares. Grain Elevator and Processing Society Exchange

When: February 25-28, 2023.

Where: Kansas City Convention Center at 301 W 13th St., Suite 100, Kansas City, MO 64105.

What: The Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS) Exchange conference is an opportunity to connect with people and learn about new products in the grain industry. There are over 300 exhibitors at the show, so visit to see new equipment and learn how it can help your grain plant. Agricultural and Applied Economics Association Annual Meeting

When: July 23-25, 2023.

Where: Marriott Marquis at 901 Massachusetts Ave. NW, Washington, D.C., 20001.

What: The Agricultural and Applied Economics Association (AAEA) is a nonprofit organization hosting an annual agricultural event. Its members are government employees engaged in teaching, outreach and research. This meeting features numerous educational opportunities to learn more about agriculture, food, natural resources, environmental sciences, applied economics and business. There are many workshops, meeting sessions and speakers.

The Northeastern Forest Products Equipment Expo (Logger's Expo)

When: May 19-20, 2023.

Where: Cross Insurance Center at 515 Main St., Bangor, ME 04401.

What: This show typically features 200-250 exhibits in the forestry industry. There are live demonstrations and static displays. This convention offers an opportunity to learn more about forest industry supplies, services and equipment. Reservations for the show begin later in fall 2022.
